Welcome to the Thrive

Tuesday 24 September, 10am - 4.30pm (registration from 9.30am), Littleborough Cricket Club, OL15 9LD

Thrive is a full day business retreat predominantly aimed at sole traders, small businesses, kitchen table entrepreneurs and hobbyists looking to start a business. (However, if you are sat reading this and don't think you fit the above criteria but fancy the content, you are still very welcome to join in!)

Thrive aims to explore topics surrounding self care, personal, and business development by bringing together speakers from a wide range of backgrounds and industries. I firmly believe that you are your business's most important asset and therefore looking after yourself physically and mentally is just as important as developing your business skills! There are many opportunities to expand your trade knowledge, get fitter or learn to eat better, but there aren't many opportunities to look at these issues holistically as a lifelong 'tool' for business and personal growth. Thrive aims to fill that gap.

September's Thrive will cover topics such as dealing with procrastination and setting boundaries; running a sustainable company; seasonal nutrition; nomadic working and calming a busy brain. All of this will take place in a relaxed, supportive environment. Attendance in comfortable clothing and your favourite woolly socks is positively encouraged!

Guest speakers and activity leaders for the day include:

Charlotte Meek, The Stitch Society

Nicky Xandora, Cognitive Behavioural Therapist

Bex Shindler, The Mindful Kitchen

Hayley Banks, Membership & CPD lead at Design Nation & certified coach

Sebastian Santabarbara, Author, Editor & Journalist

Hannah Brabbs - Good Vibrations Wellbeing

I understand that it is hard to invest in your business financially, especially when things are challenging as they are at the moment. But, (and it's a big BUT) this day retreat has been developed to provide you with information and skills that will help you sustain yourself and your business over a lifetime. It aims to avoid burnout by equipping you for the future, by allowing you to make connections with other like minded people and by sharing information and experiences that can be adapted by you for your personal and business growth after the event. This is not a medical retreat (though there are medically qualified people on the programme), it is a day concentrated on empowering you to take control of your personal and business wellbeing and as a result your business's longevity.

The day will run from 10am - 4.30pm at Littleborough Cricket Club in the Willow Room. The club has plenty of free parking and is a 10/15minute walk from Littleborough train station.

Unlike the March retreat, food will NOT be provided at the September event in order to keep the price at an accessible level for as many people as possible. Please bring some lunch with you as one of the most important aspects of the day is the communal dining where people get the chance to talk (or listen) to others in a relaxed environment.

I really hope you can join me for what will be another magical, informative and positive day. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to email me helen@helenrussellcreations.com
